 wien atp tennis final |

paula and i spent saturday and sunday in vienna. after seeing the antics and brilliance of world #3 tennis player djokovic during the usa open, i just had to see him in action live. after reading that he would play in vienna, i hypnotically bought two tickets for the final. lucky us, we managed to get row 3 seats! |

i went to collect my girl in helsinki. collecting in the sense helping her move to our flat in munich. with our transporter/van rental, i drove from munich to rostock, caught a ferry to gedser (denmark), continued driving to stockholm, caught a ferry from stockholm to turku (finland) and drove the last bit from turku to helsinki. the trip back was a bit more laid back, catching a ferry from Helsinki to Travemunde (Germany) and driving the home stretch to munich. |

my first restringing machine is a plain drop weight type machine. it is worn out. then again it is over 15yrs old. electronic machine prices have sunken to an all time low. the benefit with electronic machines is that they are the most accurate of restringing machines. considering i break my strings so regularly, i just to had to get one. here's me restringing for the first time with tx-500n! |

thanks to paula's christmas present, i was able to watch the championship finals between philipp kohlschreiber & mikhail youzhny here in munich at the bmw open. the pics were taken with yeptha's nokia N95. doh, i didn't have my camera with me. |

ingo, stefan and i did a close to 80km bicycle route to and around the ammersee. ammersee is a lake south west of munich. considering it is only april, the weather could not have been any better. hats off to stefan! he took a dip in the icey ammersee....melted snow fresh from the alps. |

we were asked to leave work for the day due to an office relocation. michi, the genius, organized bbq & beers by the isar (river that runs through Munich). what a brilliant way to start the summer! a shame that my camera broke down after the 4th pic! |

my favourite past time at the moment, snowboarding at obertauern. i hiked up a windy mountain ridge, to board down off piste off the beaten track. it took a while to gather the guts to do that. almost shat in my pants ;-) |
