i spent most of my day looking for a downloadable version of bea weblogic application server 8.1. you may ask why i want such an old version! the reason is that i need to migrate existing web applications running in a windows environment to a linux environment. some of the requirements are that the exact same java and weblogic versions are to be used.

now that oracle owns all that what was bea, you could theoretically ask oracle support. that is if you're a paying customer. you can forget finding a download link within oracle's public domain for any version prior to version 10.

kindly hosted by peoplesoft...who strangely don't exist anymore. the downloads also include patches by peoplesoft.
